Educational Philosophy

My goal is to create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow as readers, writers, speakers, and critical thinkers. I hope to build positive relationships with students in order to develop confidence in their abilities and foster an appreciation for the power of literature, language, and lifelong learning.

About Me

Murrieta Valley High School has been an important part of my journey as an educator. I served as a Resident Substitute and completed my student teaching here before returning as a full-time English teacher.
My favorite book is Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. It's the book that inspired me to become an English teacher!
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy curling up with a good book alongside my four cats, illustrating little cartoons, and exploring thrift stores for vintage treasures.
