ABOUT ME
I have been teaching Intro to Law Enforcement, Forensic Science (CSI) and Exploring the Criminal Justice System at Murrieta Valley High School for the past 15 years. Prior to teaching, I was a police officer in San Diego for 12 1/2 years. My experience on the department was in patrol, community relations, juvenile team, bike team (a proactive unit,) drug recognition, evidence technician, and trainer. In 2005 I decided to become a teacher so I could spend more time with my family. I promise to bring my police experience into the classroom to excite all students about a very rewarding career.
In my spare time
I enjoy completing triathlons and marathons (26) with my friends. I have completed two FULL distance IRONMAN! The race starts with a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride and finished with a 26.2 mile marathon. I I completed the event in 15 1/2 hours. My favorite triathlon is the Las Vegas Triathlon in September.
My favorite marathon to run is the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C.
I am an avid Raider fan and know they will make it back to the Superbowl in the near future!
I have two kids and am married to a wonderful, patient and supportive man, David, who is also a teacher. Together we spend our summers playing and roaming the country. I have three goofy dogs that I love to take outdoors. My daughter is a Nighthawk senior headed to college soon. My son is an MV grad and my daughter attends MV. My son served our country overseas as a Marine. OORAH!
